Sleeping Schedule

So i was wondering about a chameleons sleeping schedule. Because of my job i've been turning the lights on at 4pm and turning them off at 4am because this is the time i am home. Are they gonna be ok sleeping at these times? I hang a sheet from the ceiling when the lights are off so its dark in there until i turn the lights back on.

Was just making sure they dont have to be woke up at 8am like a normal person lol. if the 4pm-4am schedule will work fine?? ive noticed they go to their sleeping spots around 2am, but i dont turn the lights off till 4am

As long as the room is completely dark during their sleep time it is fine to have them on that schedule. Also, I'd imagine if this schedule were constantly changing it would be a problem, but if this is your set schedule for quite some time it will be fine. I know of at least one other member who has done something like this and I beleive it is working out fine for them.

I have a timer lol ,,, I'm just awake.and home between those times

Mine seems to sleep according to the natural day/night schedule. At around 5PM he will go to his perch even though his lights are on and start trying to go to sleep. His lights go out at 6:30 PM.

they seem to be sleeping fine on the schedule of 4 a.m. To 4 p.m. shortly after I turn the lights on they come out from where they're sleeping and they probably go to sleep 10 minutes after I turn the lights off

Mine are settled down and look to be sleeping an hour before lights go out, which is well before sunset. My lights follow the natural sunrise/sunset schedule.

Yes same as mine, set on timers.
All my animals can tell the time :D
Mine are also all ready for bed approx an hour or so before lights out, all curled up & comfortable, & nine times out of ten. On the same branch each night.

I kinda agree they seem to know the natural sunrise and sunset.. I have my timer running 8am to 8pm.. it seems about 6 at night when the sun goes down I start seeing them go to sleep even with the lights on..

It's 1 in the morning and they have been up and around all day they go to.their.sleeping spot around 3 and the lights turn.off at 4 ,,, their both basking right now actually lol

I have my timers going on at natural sunlight and off a little bit after dusk.
My guy goes to sleep up to 2 hours before bedtime though (After his last misting)...
I hear 12 on 12 off is the norm, but the light is only out from 730-530...
He's relatively active from about 8-330. Sound normal enough?
