slow Growth ?

I have 2 baby veiled chameleons and they are a month and a few weeks old. I currently feed them pinheads and crickets , also using calcium powder and vitamin supplements. One is male and one is female, it seems the male is doing well hes usually always green , nice big belly and is growing. On the other hand the female stays hidden more , is half the males size , is a tad skinnier and seems to bask more by the bulb , today shes been dark/blackish for a few hours. I have a feeling the male is eating most of the food and the female might be stressed out and staying away. I plan on separating them soon but i just want to make sure that nothings wrong so far or if ill have to separate them sooner than expected. I am very worried :(

Fill the form out in the link above so we can see what you have going on.

I would separate them sooner rather than later just to be safe. I am not too experienced with chams that young so hopefully someone with more experience will chime in for you.

Thank you for the advice , this is the information:

Chameleon Info:
  • Your Chameleon - Veiled Chameleon, female , one month and a week old
  • Handling - Only for cleaning
  • Feeding - Pinheads/fruit flies ? 2 pinheads in the morning 2 in the afternoon( the pinheads i got are pretty fat), Gutloading with organic cricket chow, lettuce , fruits ?
  • Supplements - I dust the feeders with zoo med repti calcium and Rep-cal multivitamins 4 times a week?
  • Watering - I mist 2-3 times a day, i also have a dripper installed running all day and turn it off at night. Ive seen it drink before.
  • Fecal Description - The urinate was yellowish so i upped the mistings and added the dripper and now is going back to white.
  • History - Currently housed with a male the same age

Cage Info:
  • Cage Type - I have a reptibreeze 16x16x30 screen cage
  • Lighting - i usea 30 watt UVB bulb and a 60 watt light bulb for heat.
  • Temperature - Room she is in is usually 75-80 , the bask is around 80-85
  • Humidity - Dont know the exact measurements but i mist 2-3 times a day and has the dripper on all day.
  • Plants - I use fake silk plants with vines and a large stick.
  • Placement - it is located in my room on a desk. There is a fan in my room on most of the day.
  • Location - Florida

Current Problem - she Was previously in a tub setup with a baby male , they were fine there but once i put them into the reptibreeze the male seems to be growing more than her and she tends to spend more time around the basking light. She also has a gray/black color more often now and is skinnier than the male. I thought she was black because she was sucking up the heat but im worried because the male is getting bigger than her. I understand the males get bigger than the females but i thought that was after they reach sexual maturity. Does anyone know if shes stressed or the male took dominance and shes scared? shes been hiding more and looks weaker.

When in doubt separate them. See if that doesn't help her. If not any problems she has will be easier to evaluate and deal with in an individual cage.

Will do, I was going to eventually but it seems like I'll have to do it earlier but it's for the best! Hopefully she will get better :(
