Slug-Like Thing

Hey, I'm a little concerned because I found a slug like creature in the bottom of my chameleons cage while I was doing my weekly clean. I don't know what it is and was hoping someone does, and how to prevent others from showing up. I've posted a picture, ignore the dirty rag I was cleaning with. I found it at the bottom of the cage near the base on one of the plant's pots. It was moving around, if that does matter.

That is a slug. It probably came from one of your plants. Keep an eye out for more and remove them as needed or take your plants out of the pots to see if there are more hiding in the bottoms of the pots.

Thank you for the reply. Well, great. I will defiantly be doing that. I think I might re-pot them just in case. Or maybe start with the Schefflera, because the jasmine has attached vines all through the enclosure and is going to be a pain. I also feel silly calling it slug-like, when it was indeed, a slug. Anyway, thank you for the advice. ^^

They hide right inside the bottom holes of the pot and come out to eat the plants at night. Some people use pieces of screen inside the bottom of the pot to keep them out.
