Yea I can google:D, its not hard to post links

who's arguing anyways. Most people here raise veiled thinking subspecies are color morphs apparently. I was showing info that the claimed sub species may be bogus and there is one true veiled chameleon species. If not then yes there is two. This is not your wrong im right type of deal or an arguemnet. the more info the better figured id post a link on what a knowledgeable member has to say about the subject. I wouldnt ever say anyone is 100% right about anything .

There are two currently recognized subspecies of Veiled chameleon, Ch. c. calyptratus and Ch. c. calcarifer, but Ch. c. calcarifer is most likely a hybrid between Ch. c. calyptratus and Ch. arabicus, and thus not a valid subspecies. Regardless, all Veiled chameleons in captivity are of the nominate form, Ch. c. calyptratus.

"Sunburst" and other color varieties are the same species as any other Veiled chameleons. Some individuals have more orange or yellow or turquoise coloring than average. Offspring form these very nicely colored individuals are sold as "sunburst" or "hi yellow" or "turquoise" or whatever other name. They are no different from any other Veiled chameleon except that they are very colorful individuals.

But is a small casque a bad thing? Does it symbolize something?

I guess it all depends on if you consider the subspecies valid or not.

thanks for the info jackp i tried to pm you back but i messed it up lol
and i was just trying to reassure dchalo that there could be other reasons for a small cascade besides health issues:):):)
