Snails just came in

Yes the shells are primarily calcium I believe, but not sure on the ratio to calcium as opposed to other feeders
OOO nice, I might do this.. Glad you don't have to smash the shells off them cuz I don't know if i could deal with that.. Yuk lol

How often do you think I could feel snails to my veiled? So far I've only used crickets and hornworms and I can't really use roaches yet because they all just sit in the bottom of my feeder cup and don't climb but he's ate a few.

I was only planning on using mine as a supplemental feeder of 15-25%. I don't have any solid data yet, still researching. Stay tuned.

This is great info! So would they be considered a dessert/treat feeder like a horn worm or could it be more of a staple like a cricket or Dubia? They just digest the shell no problem? That's awesome!

All the threads I've read so far only mention them as an occasional feeder. If someone knows more I'd love to hear it.
They say to feed them when they are less than dime sized. 1.5cm.

What size snails do you think would be appropriate for an adult veiled chameleon?
Never fed them to a Veiled. My Jacksons usually eats them when their shell is no bigger than a dime. Anything bigger and he may have a hard time. Since a Veiled is larger, it may be able to handle a shell size of up to about the size of a quarter.

Awesome, thanks all :)

couldn't you just leave the eggs in the same bin as the adults to just hatch? Or will the adults destroy the eggs by climbing over them or eating them?? Just got sooo many misc bins of bugs and stuff haha
