Sneezing

I have notice that every once in a while like one time a day or some times every other day or more depending my chameleon makes this sneezing noise. I dont really know if this is bad or if he is like us and just has the occasional sneeze. He doesnt open his mouth when he does it he just kinda like blows a quick burst of air out his nose which i think is a sneeze. Any help would be great. Thanks

Are you sure it's not "hissing" instead of a sneeze? My Jax will "huff" when I've ticked him off. It could be interpreted as a sneeze... It's a quick exhalation.



Does your cham only do it when you are handling him or invading his territory?

It might be its just he has never ever puffed up at me or tryed to bite me and almost never flairs up but ill try to make him mad just ones to see if it is really just that. thanks

o and just to say he is a big baby the mirror doesnt even phase him he just looks at it and then looks at me and climbs on my head lol kinda funny

Our big guy Titus will occasionally make a sneeze/cough noise. What we've learned is that he'll do that when he gets nervous/pissed off. When we first got him he did it, when he was freaked out/pissed off to be in a new home, and we were terrified but over time we've learned his tendencies. For example, we added another schefflera plant to his enclosure today and when he got back in, he immediately made a few noises but settled down. Maybe our chameleon is weird but that's been my experience. Good luck to you

My panthers "huff" at me when they are mad.

It's like, they don't open their mouth, or puff up, they just give a little huff
of air that I can hear.

Ya that Thor in my avatar, and i made him mad today and he did it so im happy to say i have solved the problem with ur help he doesnt make a loud noise its almost like when a bug or somthing gets in ur nose and you exhale through ur nose really fast.
