Snow Day!

FINALLY! We have had proper snow on the Isle of Wight, lol!:D A couple of inches of the white stuff is usually enough to bring the public transport and road networks to a standstill! Last night and this morning we have had around 4 inches! My kids have never seen snow like it - I saw a snow plough this morning and I don't remember the last time I saw one of those! :D All main roads to the next largest town are impassable, all the schools are closed plus there are no bus services either and haven't been since last night! People have been abandoning cars and stranded commuters have had to spend the night in community centres! Here's a couple of pics from my garden. I just love the snow, but I really don't want to get my car out in it, lol! We are SO unprepared for this weather on the Island! I know everyone in the US will think this is hardly anything, but to us over here this much snow is a BIG deal!:D:eek: It must be at least 10 years since we had this much snow!

These ice crystals had formed on the conservatory window yesterday:

And this is the garden this afternoon!

But at least the sign still says "welcome". Travlers will know your backyard it a haven. he he he

I had deer outside my window today. My neighbors would lynch me if they knew I buy cracked corn and feed them in the winter. They need to eat & I love to watch them win, win. Today was the first time they came up to eat in the daylight. If they come up again I will try for pictures - out the window.

Wow in oregon that is frost lol I wish 4" when I was in school was enough to close schools well pull out the sleds and enjoy it:eek:

We are expecting 1-4" tomorrow and they are already closing some schools around here. :D The sky is clear and sunny right now.

England will be at a stand still again soon! London has had snow again, hehe
Woke up to about 4" this morning and its still falling :D Im gonna take my camera out with this fresh batch.
