Snow storms or light outtages.

So I was thinking today about what I would do about my chams lights if our power went out and my husband made a great point, use my OCF field battery packs for my job.

I'd thought I'd tell you guys where to get them if you don't already know about them. I have a vagabond mini and a vagabond battery I use these for my studio lights on location.

The mini cost 250.00, is 120 volt, can charge via your car, has a USB import and lastly 2 plug ins. You get them through Paul C Bluff.

They look like this. This is my mini, my big guy is in my car. It's 30 degrees out, not going out there.

You can pick these up used on Craigslist all the time, but if your power is out and you have no generator this can supply power, but the big one is better.

My power went out for 16 hours the other day..... wasn't good. Mr.Pink is fine now, but the husband and I were really worried.

How long do those last on a charge? I was looking at gas generators for around $200, and they have about 12 - 15 hours of power, per tank.

Vagabond Mini™ Lithium battery specifications for reference:
- lithium ion battery
- 130 Watt-hours (Wh)
- 8.8 Amp-hours or Ampere-hours (Ah)
- 14.8 Volts (V)

That is from their site. It draws about 3 amp while idle which would be its state if I were using to power a heat lamp. So it depends on your bulb and fixture. I can use one mini on a strobe light ( it's intended purpose) and get 300 recycles (flashes from my alienbee 400 strobe light) so they are tough little batteries. It won't last days like generator where gas would be needed to refuel, but it can last IMO long enough for power to be restored. The larger vagabonds have extra battery packs you swap out too. It's the large battery, they removed its info since they push to sell the lithium mini. But id imagine it would be double that. You get the larger ones on eBay but can purchase the replacement battery packs from Paul c bluff site.
