So friendly????

Is it possible that a chameleon can be "friendly"? I hear people having soooo much trouble about their chameleons never wanting to come out of their cage and such a hassle trying to take them out. I have only had mine for 4 days and when ever I put my hand very slowly next to him, he will climb right up. I don't even have to gently push him under his chin. I literally put my hand close to him and he will slowly climb up. He also never hisses, puffs up, and does not turn stress colors when he comes out. Is it possible that Spyro could really be "friendly"? I will try to make a video to show you how this lovely creature will climb up right on my hand.
 
Mine was exactly like that whenever I first got him but now he doesn't even want me near the cage and i have to put a glove on to get near him. Usually some grow out of their being friendly stage hopefully yours stays nice :)
 
In my experience CB chameleons tend to be friendlier than WC ones, with obvious variation based on species and individual. My male panther is exactly like yours - whenever he gets a chance he climbs on my arm. He is extremely docile and hissed only once, at the vet (who wouldn't have?).

Sad to tell you Alejandro. But im 99.999% sure this will be the case with your guy also ^^^
 
it depends on the cham.
When kink was a baby he loved to come out... then he got older, and he hated to come out..
now hes fr, and hes tolerant of me. on most days...

now, Kermit, my hoe.... loves me.

Well for people who dont know us,, and our obbsession wtih chams... they could think we are perverts. especially when we post things..
like people who post pics of the chams 'doin it' and everyone comments on the thread.
 
So, getting back on topic... some chams really do seem to be friendly. All of my chameleons have free ranged in the living room. The Jackson's was tolerant of human presence but mostly went his way and you went yours. My first panther was very friendly - I "trained" him by holding my arms in such a way that he had to climb onto me to get to a treat, and within a couple months he would climb on board whenever I was nearby, regardless of food, whether I "invited" him or not. He would come over to see presents being wrapped, climb up my knitting, sit in the middle of the book you were reading... My next panther was more like the Jackson's - tolerant but not eager for interaction. The veiled could very easily be bribed and would be held for as long as you wanted, but she was clearly only in it for the food. And my current panther is very suspicious and very much does not want human interaction. So, they're all different. But, there's no reason to think that yours has to outgrow his friendliness, especially if you continue to show him that you're the source of good things.

How old is your cham? I wish your chameleon to stay friendly, but be prepare to him to change his attitude! I would say you'll be a very lucky person!:)
Mine is a panther, and I'm happy enough with him showing that he loves to be left alone! He shows it in a very moderate way, I'm very happy with that!:)
