Jewel is eating her fresh kale and about 11 mealworms a day. She seems a little weird, I have noticed that weather I am near the tank she rocks on her sticks. Her belly looks puffy so maybe eggs soon. She still trys to run from me when I take out of the tank. Gets a little darker in color but once she is out she turns bright green? Is this behavior seen in most female veiled chameleon?

Mine is a nuttball nd is all over the place , i also think my girl is gona produce some eggs soon.. But they turn dark whenever they feel annoyed or surprised, but once they figure out ur giving them outside time they get happy again hence the bright green color.. post some pictures?

Not trying to be negative, but I'd cut waaay back on the mealworms. Those are only okay to offer as a treat maybe once a week? Their shells can cause impaction. Stick with crickets or dubia as a staple, and offer more nutritious worms such as horns or silks.

Also, did I read that she's in a tank??

OK I see this a lot on here and I don't feed mealworms to my cham but I have been doing some research on this and can ANYONE prove this statement? I have heard of some people feeding a lot of meals and still looking for a case of my cham got impacted from eating meals. Is this really just a urban legend? I still looking but would like some help.

I don't see where you are going with this? I'm sure if I fed my cham silk or horn worm ONLY for three days that he would have diarrhea too. Now he did say he seen parts of mealworm in his fecal but really if he was gone the cham was free to eat anytime even right before bed. I still don't see mealworms causing IMPACTION and if you read the comments on the video he said he was fine.

Thank you all..... I will look for some silk worms and horn ones. What about kale and fruits? Gave Jewel some calcium-covered crickets tonight. She is in a glass en closer right now looking for a netted large cage now.
