So I got this huge butterfly enclosure

I dont want to try that. My body doesn’t contort into small spaces like that any more nor am I good at trying to measure and cut all this stuff and I don’t have a cutter to cut pvc so it will just have to do the way it is. If the size of it makes it to flimsy to use outside then I’ll get a smaller one. The smaller they are the more sturdy they are in my opinion. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Don't go to a lot of effort. I mean you can, but I just used 2 pieces of 1/4 in dowl to keep the top tight. No cutting gluing, just two sticks. They do not need a full internal frame they are pretty strong.

Some members have mentioned with repti breeze enclosure using thumb tacks into dowels/ branches whatever. Look I just thought I would mention the possibility of the butterfly thing moving about if the wind was blowing not to say you will ever have any issues but I wouldn't be much of a fellow member if I did not say something if I thought it.

How do you keep them in the top then if not glued or anything?
The ends can catch in the material part, so it is just tension that holds it. It won't add strength but it keeps the material tight so UVB passes better. And it will hold a T5 if needed.
The trick is if the material blocks most UV that comes at an angle like the sides at noon. If the top has loose kind of wavy I guess It can block half the UV. I have a solar meter is where this comes from as I have actually tested. So it is not hard you don't need to make a fancy frame or anything. Just so UV passes better. Here is how I had it.

Oh thank you for that! Portland is only 30 min away and Brunswick seems to be the same temp as Portland most of the time. Maybe I’ll take him out on Monday because tomorrow doesn’t look good.
