When she looked at my veiled enclosure she told

We all know I cant be doin such a thing.

This was my cage right after I built it but the lights are still as they were then.

Aside from anything else you decide to do with the lighting, I think if you raise your cage up on stand or table that looks nice the lights will be less of an issue because they will be overhead and therefore not seen as easily.

I like the box idea seeing how I built the cage.
And I will be raising it I just needed to wait till we get a new place and more room haha
I didnt even think about how they would prob be less blunt above your head=P
Thanks for the replies=)

agree with this. Once the cage is up high you will not notice the lights near as much and your cham wll love you for it also as they would rather be high up!

Could you maybe get a new gf? That cage looks fine to me. haha or put the lights above head height.
You could just put a board at the front, not a full box. Allowing for free air movement and a visual barrier to the lights.

This is what I was trying to say. A frame with just four sides, no top... ;)

thats how mine was made, 4 sides, no top and rests on the sides of the cage.. cant see the lights... :)

Lisa, this is one of the nicest looking cages I have ever seen. Did you frame on top of a reptibreeze here? I love it, a furniture feel with warm wood color, but still minimalistic.

The solution for the top of the cage is a perfect solution to help the OP avoid any unnecessary relationship strife ;)

the cage was built from scratch by my husband, but i believe it could of easily been done to a premade screen enclosure. just use some type of light wood on top and place runners so it will sit on the top of the metal.

and thanks for the compliment, my veiled Stanley really likes it!!! ;)

That looks like a good and easy solution for the OP, since he already built the rest of the cage himself.

yeah, it doesnt have to be attached, just make it a bit bigger that the dimentions of the top and place the runners so there is about an inch coming down the side of the cage to stabilize it...
