Could you maybe get a new gf? That cage looks fine to me. haha or put the lights above head height.
You could just put a board at the front, not a full box. Allowing for free air movement and a visual barrier to the lights.

I cant really afford to do that when im bout to be a dad haha
But yes I figure ill raise it cuz I was going to anyway, and then try that box
or barrier idea=)) thanks for the help everyone.

Thanks!!! There's nothing wrong with your cage, as said, it just needs to be elevated. Your guy will appreciate it and it would raise the level of the lights also..... In time, the top addition is super easy and cheap!!!!!
