So many opinions... so confused.

Hi. I was hoping to clarify something which i hope that i will get a specific answer and not a general one all feedback however is apreciated.

I have a bedroom with 24/7 air conditioning running at 75 degree F

Everyone always says screen cages but with the aircon running humidity is difficult to maintain as it has a dehumidifier function too.

So my question is... should I run a hybrid glass screen, all glass or all screen enclosure. For air flow i could mount a small fan onto a glass terrarium would thst suit or solve the problem that glass terrariums typicallydon't offer enough ventilation?

Also curious about people who run solar glo (exo terra) lights and their opinions on them

I would really try to steer clear of an all glass enclosure. Limited airflow can lead to nasty bacterial infections and respiratory issues. I think that in your case you should go with a glass/screen combo or possibly even invest in a cheap humidifier for the room.

Wow, where do you live that you have to run air conditioning this time of year to get the temp down to 75F.
If you use a fan for ventilation you're just blowing the dry air into the cham cage, what's the difference between that and an all screen cage? I think you'd be better off purchasing aan air humidifier for that room if the return air for your air conditioner is not in there. I like all screen cages personally, then adjust the room's environment for the chameleon(s).
I don't think you're going to get a single succinct answer for your question, there are many cham keepers that have success with different husbandry techniques- we're still trying to figure a lot of things out. But for the basics you can go to the top of this page and click on the Resources tap and get a lot of good information.
You didn't mention what species chameleon you're considering, different species have different requirements.

I tend to prefer screen cages as they can be built larger or in different shapes to take advantage of the space you have, but you CAN modify them to hold in more humidity fairly easily. Easier than modifying a glass tank to provide more air exchange anyway. The combination glass and screen setups work also but they are not as large generally. You can add plexiglass panels to the screen cage sides and remove them seasonally if needed. You can attach clear vinyl or plastic sheeting over the screen. An ultrasonic humidifier aimed right at the cage (try to put it slightly above the cage as the fog it produces is heavier than air and it will drift down, not up. Don't set it right over your lights) will help a lot and you won't be trying to humidify the entire room.
