So my new chameleon arrives tomorrow...

...any tips for first day/week acclimation. he should be arriving about lunch time or earlier so i'll only have an hour or so to observe him (from afar btw) before i have to go back to work. should i go ahead and put a few crickets in there to let him eat? normally i wouldnt do that with a newly aquired animal but i dont want to feed him when i get home and then turn lights out within 2 hours.

any suggestions for a first day/first time keeper?

They are usually very hungry and thirsty after traveling. Don't forget to wash the plants you put in the enclosure. They usually have pesticides on the leaves.

new guy just arrived, and i've seen him eat and drink so at least the stress hasnt taken his appetite away. i'll get pictures up in the next few days after he's had some time to adjust.
