Just curious - what IS it that makes you fall in love with your chameleon?

I swear, I am so infatuated with Spyro. Receiving him was one of the best things that’s happened to me. Simply watching him is one of my favorite things to do, and coming up with new things for him to climb on is so much fun. I even enjoy caring for his feeders-crazy!!

Well, to start with, they are adorable! I just love their little eyes and smile. Another way is how they match your personality with theirs and you can form a connection with your Cham. This is what made me fall in love with my little girl!

I know right? I sometimes want to squish mine into my cheek and give it little head kisses but I’m sure he wouldn’t like it. They’re so adorable, loving and funny! <3

It’s the husbandry for me, it’s very complicated compared to any pet I’ve had. Harry’s a cool little grumpy fellow and I love to observe him in the mornings when I have some coffee...but heck, you either love something you put so much into or hate it...I gotta love the little grumpster...lol

I fell in love with my first little guy because of grumpy little face. He was surprisingly friendly as a juvenile but has grown to match his grumpy demeanor. I never know when I approach his cage if he's going to love me or hate me in that moment, always keeping me surprised lol
I also love taking the time to meticulously care for them, making sure everything is perfect and just how they need it. Reading and still learning new things, even 2 years into owning my first.
And as silly as it sounds, I love to stress over them (and boy do I!). I've only had my female a couple weeks now so she's going to add a whole new level of stress to my life, but when ever my male does something weird or new or out of character and I'll be flipping out over it for days

Also there's moments like this (when he's in a good mood) when you can hand them things like little spears and swords and they hold on to it

I agree - I love having something (positive) to stress over.

I also love his expression when he’s zoning in on his prey.... his eyes look in the same direction and a tiny little tip of his tongue is visible. I usually cheer him on at this point, “yeah man you got it!” He’s probably thinking uh duh, I know I do. Haha
