something a bit different for me

been busy breeding panthers and carpets as y’all know; i’ve become the local chameleon guy. an employee of the college where i teach found this veiled in her backyard, apparently there’s a bit of a wild population in her area. obviously can’t know if he was born wild, released, or escaped but he’s here now!

been fairly social and handleable, pretty colors but not the greatest patterns. no name yet! i’ve shown him a few gravid female panthers out of curiosity, and neither takes much notice of the other. dunno what i’ll do with him in the long run, but for now he can relax and eat well while i check for parasites and any other issues.

I think he looks great! rather like the one bar that to me kinda looks like a snowman with hat and scarf :)
looks healthy too - but glad you're giving him a good check-up

lol at the snowman thing!!

his resting colors are typical drabby brown w/ his bars, but POW he can do a color change to the teal in less than 5 seconds!

He looks great!!! I bet he has been loving the abundant food down here in wild Florida! He might be a bit picky if you don't offer him a very varied diet ;). Can't wait to see more pics!!! :)

NICE!
In FL, ya never know what you'll find in your back yard.

I used to live in Ft. Lauderdale, it's like a different planet

Good looking veiled. He could be someones pet that escaped. Anyone in your area lose their chameleon? It just doesn't look like a wild caught to me.
