Something is in her eye!!

I am not sure if something is in her eye, but she is keeping one eye closed and kind of pushing it in and out a few times... is something in her eye or is there a problem?

She has been doing this since last night. I have been misting the cage a lot today to help with her eye, and I also put the humidifier on.

Someone please help me

Chams use water to clean their eyes.. so try putting her in the shower for a bit or mister her and getting her wet... either way see if water can clear it out... That is if it is in fact something in her eye... Senior members may have a different idea but thats what I would do just in case

I agree with the shower. I would lower her temp. It seems to me 90 is too hot for a baby. You can check JannB's blog on baby veileds.

Okay, I will shower her right now.

Should I bring the whole plant into the shower? and direct the water to the wall?

Thanks

You can hold her or use a plant or stick. Really anything for her to stand on. Make it a indirect mist. At room temp. Dont point the water right at her. My chams love showers. Its good for this exact reason. Let her stay in for 15-20 minutes. If she can handle it.

She is currently in the shower right now and I'm keeping a close eye on her.

She doesn't seem to like it, she is running away from the water with both of her eyes closed... I haven't seen her drink yet so hopefully she will in the shower.

I will update you all on how she does after the shower.

Ya some of our guys did that same thing it took a few short showers and then they are fine with it. I have 2 that will not drink in the shower.

I took her out of the shower and let her get some sun from outside.

She fell asleep on her plant outside I then brought her in she was fine and ate a cricket and now she is closing her left eye again, i also saw her rub her eye on a branch... Maybe tomorrow I will have to shower her again until she can clear her eye

Try covering two sides of her cage, mine had the same problem but in both eyes, i just covered two sides of her cage with a garbage bag ( on the outside ) to keep a little more humidity in and it seemed to help her eye alot. And i also used an eye dropper and would ri se her eyes with distilled water and she would drink from that too.

That's a good possibility too. Right now I'm using powersun, but I think next week I'm going to get the reptisun 5.0 and a 60 w basking bulb. If it is the light causing problems, is it reversible? Or has the damage already been done
