Somethings wrong with Freddie

If you look up a picture of the spur, you will be able to get a visual. It is a tiny little bump on the back of the rear feet. Is Freddie still drinking? Has he had trouble holding onto branches before? This could also be a symptom of severe dehydration. Keep giving him water, but make sure that it isn't too cold, and that you space out the drips. Maybe 5 drops for every 20 seconds.

I don't think so, but keep her on the lower areas of her cage. Try to get her to drink a little bit more, and that should help a lot. Keep her on a steady hand watering cycle for a few minutes before you leave her alone. Could you possibly post a clear closeup of one of her back feet?

Anything that comes in a "kit" is generally not the best for a chameleon. I would recommend looking into getting new lighting (a good UVB linear bulb), and getting him hydrated. He also needs gut-loaded crickets (the gel is usually just for moisture, try some carrots for something easy to feed them). Calcium with D3 should be given once every couple of weeks. Calcium without D3 should be given every day. A basking spot of 90 degrees fahrenheit is suggested, with a descending gradient temperature as you move toward the bottom of the enclosure. That being said, get to a vet.

Thanks that would really be helpful but I don't want to risk getting another chameleon it wouldn't be right

Also, I bet that you would do great with another chameleon. This cham could have even had a pre existing condition, since you don't know how old he is. If you ask me, I would totally try again. It doesn't have to be right away, that might be hard. But you did a good job! If you do decide to try again, you could try getting a baby cham from a pet store so you know how old it is, and you can know that it never had an owner before you. It might make it a bit easier to take care of. Again, I am so sorry, and I wish it would have turned out better. Good luck!
