Does any one know the common names for these species:

Chamaeleon Africanus

and

Chamaeleon c. Chameleon--European Chamaeleon

I found some for sale and they seem to be almost like a veiled.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say, African Chameleon and European chameleon or common chameleon.

Edit: awe poop, it wasn't African chameleon. It is Sahel chameleon.

So you know in the future, I keep a list of currently recognized species and what I feel is the most appropriate common name for them here: http://www.chameleoninfo.com/Species_Profiles.html

These two species are not commonly available in the US and when they have been available, they have tended to acclimate poorly. When Mike and I raised up a bunch of baby Ch. africanus, we had a lot of difficulty with the babies, presumably from a lack of something in their diet. There is also an article on Ch. africanus here: http://www.chameleonnews.com/05FebGomboc.html
