something's going on with my 1.5 year old male veiled chameleon. I was away for two days and when i came home there was blood on the bottom of the cage and down one of the branches. He also looked a bit dehydrated, but otherwise was acting normally. I checked him all over several times and he has no injuries.
One person told me that he may have been trying to pass a sperm plug and ended up bleeding from his vent. I didn't see a sperm plug in there but i was also just mainly concerned with the blood so i may have missed it. and then just now i come into my room to check on him and he's sitting on one of his branches and just... dropping this disgusting white stuff from his vent. i have no idea what. is it sperm? is it chameleon diarrhea?
it wasn't solid, it was dripping. and it was honestly really gross.
id also like to add that this all started the day after i brought a new chameleon home, a female.
any ideas what this could be?
