Sperm Plug?

Ok so I am pretty new to Chams, well my boy yesterday had a what lookd like dried up pee or wasnt sure if it was dirt or something on his vent. SO, not knowing I went to clean it off well when I gently pulled it came out like a yellow booger  then there was another one that did the same thing.
So when I did a search I find sperm plugs, did I do the wrong thing by pulling it out?

The next time it gets stuck, mist more to moisten. After it's moist you can gently tug on it to remove it. You do want to remove them if they are stuck.

no but I would not do it again

Why not?
A little assist with sperm plug removal is fine.
As mentioned moistening the area can help if they are a bit stuck.
Usually it will come out on it's own, getting rubbed on branches, etc. or with the next elimination of fecal matter.

So what should you do? will it come out eventually if you just leave it? oops OH ok posted at the same time

Thanks ok and yes I was very very gentle and it did just slip out. Didnt seem to bother him at all.
He is 9 months old btw. How often does this happen?

Ok I am running into this same problem today.. I just gave him a long warm misting.. Should i get him back out of the cage to try and remove it?

the plug is now gone..I decided to take him out and take care of it myself. I just hated seeing the thing hang from him.
