It really depends on what kind of spider it is. If you take the plant out of the enclosure, and give it a good shaking, and check it, you may find it. If you have a second plant, I would do that just to be safe.

If your cage is the screen type, sometimes little"critters" like to hide in the corners...And depending on how it was made there may be some gaps in the frame work where spiders may be able to go in and live inside hollow area of the alumnium frame!!! What I have had to do is take EVERYTHING out of your cage and pour boiling water over the frame (PLEASE DON'T HURT YOURSELF) Then after it cools and drys, silicone the holes to stop any more invaders from making a new home!!!!

check around your plant pots- if there are lips that curl down or cracks or whatever. Best time to find spiders is usually at night. If you ripped down the web, the spider will be busy making another one this evening. Get a flash light and go look in the dark.

if its a outdoor cage i would take the cham out and hit it with a hose good and hard for awhile i would think it would wash away, drown or just intise the spider to move out

I would also think it depends on what type of spiders live in your area. A poisonous one would not be a good thing.

I don't like any wild bugs because of a possible higher rate of parasites and I don't like vet bills that can possibly be avoided.

I would check the web at night. Most spiders seem to be nocturnal. You might be able to find him then. :D
