Best regards,

I'm sorry I missed the earlier post from you. I think it could take between 3 and 6 months incubation. Feel free to email me at [email protected] if you don't hear from me in the future. I get email on my phone.

And congratulations! Very egg-citing news!!! I have a couple of clutches incubating now and one about to be laid. It's all very scary. Because it's so easy to lose the eggs. So easy to lose the babies. I love them. They eat fruit flies, pinhead crickets, the tiniest of silkworms when they are about 2 months. That's all I know for now.

Thank you Elisa!
We keep in touch to mailing and other media's.
The eggs are still doing good.
I didn't find any time this week to post the photo's but hey will come soon.
Maybe this weekend...

Best regards

It took a while but finally I found some time to post the photo's of the clutch.

If you look at the pictures you see one egg that is yellow and I think that is a bad egg. But the other two are good.

The incubation period was really short, it was 91 days.
And the max temp didn't exceed 20°C and min temp was not below 17°C.

Yay!!!!!! You lucky dog you!!!!! :D

That is an even shorter incubation. How scary! Now for the next three months you are allowed to do nothing but monitor those babies. :D It is so hard. Best of luck to you and I do hope they make it to adult hood.

I am waiting on two clutches of CB babies to hatch. I've lowered the incubation temps in hopes of a longer incubation term. But they still could hatch any day. My first clutches hatched out just over 100 days.

Much luck to you. Take a lot of photos and... I'm keeping my fingers crossed you get them through the next few months without any problems.

:D :D :D

Thank you all!

I hope too that they will become adults...Yesterday evening they where are the hunt for food and as soon that I putt the fruitmotts, bean beetle, crickets and fruitflies in the terrarium, they begun to shoot them away.
So that is a good thing! They also drink good.
A have shot some good pictures from yesterday evening, I will post them asap.

Rgds

The hatchlings that emerged on August 2, 2009 are doing very well. What I notice this time around with these truly captive bred animals is that each shows a lot of green and the typical patterns that adults exhibit.

They are being housed in a single cage together but very soon I will separate them. They move together from one end of the cage to the other, from top to bottom. They sleep fairly close to each other. Within just a few inches.

I love this species so much.

My picture is not very good. I admit that even with a nice camera, I rarely have the patience to take the photos right.

Excuse me? Your photos are fantastic! Thank you for sharing your success with us.

Cheers!

Well thank you! But if it really was a good photo, it would be clear right up through the rosette, right? That baby is super tiny. What I need is a cheat sheet with large font that I can post in my greenhouse. Then I can forget all about how to take photos until the next time I have to take photos. :)

Here's one of the babies:

I took one of the mommy spinosus too:

She bred a couple of weeks ago but right after a very long copulation, the male retired to his cage and died within a day. :(

Todd, quit trying to horde all the CH/CB animals!!!!

Yeah! What is up with that????!!! lol
