Spitting out crickets?

I've always fed my 4mo old chameleon crickets. Today I went and got new crickets & to switch it up a bit I got meal worms too. He ate up a few mealworms & then when I put 3 crickets in he snatched one up & immediately spit it out. Then he snatched another & spit it out too. He won't even touch the 3rd but he's eating the worms. What's going on?

Ha! Yeah I guess that could be.... But would he be that picky after eating only a few worms?
