stain/sealer/spray pain

i recently built an all wodden cage with 2x2s and just finished sealing and staining it, will this harm a chameleon even after a week of drying? or should i wait longer before i put a chameleon in there

usually you just want to make sure it is 100% dry and that there are no more fumes coming off it. If you take it inside and it doesn't smell like paint or sealant, then it's okay.

idk if you knew this but i sealed the inside of the cage as well with a wood sealant, will this be ok once its dried and doesnt smell anymore for my new baby veiled?

i keep askin, is there any specific sealers/ finishes that are water/pet friendly?

Regular polyurethane works fine. Once it's dry and fume-free, you shouldn't have any worries.

alright what about caulking the inside of the cage so no water or crickets get out?

Yeah. Make sure it's for aquariums! You can't just go the Home Depot and pick some up and expect it to be safe - a lot of that stuff has mold/mildew inhibitors that can leech out during mistings and is very toxic.
