Stick Insects

Somewhat depends on type of chameleon, and what the other types of feeders are that you are using.
Im big on variety, so I'd suggest only offer stick bugs only once weekly or once every two weeks, amongst a long list of other choiced rotated through the other days of the weeks.

Thank you. I use a variety of feeders. What feeders do you use?

Stick insects are a great feeder! Super easy to keep and breed. Your chams will love you if you can offer them some stick insects.

Also...PM me if you're looking for some.;)

Thanks for the offer but I'm in the UK. :D I have a confession to make. I bought some stick insects in the end and I now seem to have rather a lot as I couldn't bring myself to feed them straight away and they grew rather quickly. :) I've been collecting the eggs so that I will feed them when they hatch and are smaller but I think I have about 26 large ones now. I really need to find homes for some of them.

an adult panther or veiled or larger chameleon can eat an adult indian walking stick. they are narrow, though they are long!
Just dont give more than one a week.

Will she eat it even though it's bigger than her head (she's a 10 month old Nosy Faly)? I actually think the stick insects are quite cute in a strange way. :p They are the only insects I actually feel guilty using as feeders. :D

if it is WIDER than the space between her eyes, dont offer it.
If is is LONGER than half the length of her body, dont offer it.

I know what you mean - i have pet stick bugs :)
