Still have just one unanswered question

I do cup feeding to make sure he is eating and how many and an occasional free roaming for some "hunting exercise"

Well me and my roommate are in college so our chameleon is on a schedule that coordinates with our late night schedules :p. So then should I just pick a spot on the bottom of the cage for the dish and hope he finds it?

He lives in the same room we sleep in and we keep the lamp on till we go to sleep, which is later in the evening since were in college. He still gets the right amount of hours under the lamp, but its just turned on and off a little bit later than normal day hours.

Try getting a timer, their cheap, that way when you are out late getting drunk on weekends you won't have to worry about the lights getting turned off for bedtime for your cham.

Also it is better to have the lights mimic the sun kind of, if the cham is in a room with a window he will want to get up when it starts getting light out, at least mine does, and mine goes to bed when it gets dark out, which is about 30 mins before my timer goes off.

Ok I'll get him put on a timer. But will it matter if me and my roommate still have the room light on? Also, do we have to worry about being too noisy? I heard its not a problem cause chameleons rely off of sight and not hearing.

My chameleon stays awake if there is any light at all. You need to find a room where there is no traffic. If you are making loud noises to where the room is vibrating, then yes, it will be a problem. They rely on sight and feeling.

You could put a sheet over his cage. Noise shouldn't be a big issue unless you've got the bass way up and it shakes his cage. Or you could take 8 AM classes like me! You'll fail them every time but at least you'll be awake with your cham! Speaking of which, it's past my bedtime =(

Since chameleons are cold blooded, their digestive capabilities are greatly reduced during the night time drop in temperature.

What I would recommend doing is bowl feeding, and putting the bugs in there at night when he is asleep. This will allow him to eat in the morning, providing energy for the day and allowing him to digest properly with the day time temperatures :) It will also help you monitor how much he's eating. Chameleons take well to bowl feeding so that's not an issue.

Well since loud music, vibrations and the like only bothers chams then he should be fine. I will definitely try the blanket idea, that should do the trick.
