Stolen wallet returned

All of you who had to suffer with me when my wallet was lifted at the Reptile expo in Pasadena on Sat, will be happy (not as happy as I am) to hear someone mailed the wallet to my home in Montana. It was missing the well hidden, I thought, $100 bill, 2 credit cards & 2 ATM cards. All 4 cards were canceled Sat after filing a report at the police station so I can get on my flight home back to Montana. The $100 is a small price to pay for all my info returned to me, stuff like DL, ins cards, health cards, AAA card, etc

I guess 2 years in Montana had let me forget all the down sides of soca. In Montana I can leave my home door unlocked or leave my car running, at Walmart or the grocery, unlocked when it is cold out. Guess Montana isn't all bad.:)

Thanks for all the support special thanks to Dave Weldon, who was great!

Glad to know you got it back, minus the cards and $100. I've never had the luxury of being able to keep things like that out in the open - one of the reasons I would like to get to somewhere quiet when I can.

I hope the rest of the year goes much better for you, just think about Karma!

Well, that was cool of them.

I get pretty spoiled living out in the country too. I rarely lock the doors to my car because I figure they do more damage breaking in then they do in what they take, which isn't much.

Great news! I know what you are talking about, growing up in the country of Kansas and now living in Orlando. My parents still leave doors unlocked and cars running, I wouldn't dare try that here.

side note, most states leaving your car running is illegal and bad for environment

Doesn't really save much gas unless you are back in the car and driving in less than a minute~

I would take contact the postal people.. whoever the carrier was and see what they can do... they might have a video of it being dropped off....

on the other hand... maybe someone ripped off the stuff, tossed it, someone else found it and mailed it back but doesn't wanna be prosecuted by mistake?
