Stopped eating after mating.

Here are the pics of Melonia before mating

First one are like 3-4 weeks before

Second one just before mating.

She looks quite plump before she mated. I suspect that she was already quite far along in producing eggs and that might mean that she will lay them soon. BTW...are they in separate cages?

(Can't remember if I asked or you said it already...but does she have a place in the cage to dig to lay eggs?

Well there is the pot of the citrus tree. But im going to buy a bin for her today to lay her eggs in.
Should i have it in the cage in case of laying?

Ofcourse they are , just the photo are taken when they started to mate. :)

So if im clear here, she was already producing eggs when i mated her? Therefor it must be unfertile...Will she produce more eggs ? or ..

I keep a container of washed playsand in the female's cage all the time for egglayers.

You said..."she was already producing eggs when i mated her? Therefor it must be unfertile...Will she produce more eggs ?"...I can't tell you how far along she was in her cycle when you mated her. If she was quite far along she could dump a clutch of infertile eggs before the normal 30ish days from mating....followed by a fertile clutch up to the normal time later. If she was not quite so far along when mated, she could lay a clutch that is part fertile and part infertile at about the 30 day mark...followed by another part fertile and part infertile about 30 days after that.
