storing worms?

I have some pods of silkworms. The temps here are getting high and the humidity is even higher. the container is starting to grow mold. (only had them for a week)
Can I keep them in the fridge?

You cannot keep silk worms in the frig, but if you look at my blog you will see how I keep mine in containers to avoid the pod/mold issue.

why can't you put horn worms or silk worms in the fridge? do they die?

You can put hornworms in the frig for a day or two at a time, but silk worms do not tolerate the cold temperature. The hornworms could also die if the frig is too cold. I have a mini frig I use that is set to about 55 degrees.

If you keep the hornworms in the frig too long they will also start to deteriorate.
