Strange Behavior?

Hey all. My male veiled has been acting unusual the past week. Every time I open his cage door to clean or to feed him, he comes running to the door and climbs out onto me. Every time! If I'm out of his reach, he will anchor himself to a branch and reach out to grab me. He then just climbs up to my shoulder or head and sits. Has anyone else experienced this? I just added a male Nosy Be 2 weeks ago. their cages are right next to each other but there is a divider between them so they can't see one other. Could he sense another cham? He is not showing any "stress" colors and is still eating and drinking fine.

How big is his cage? Do you have any pictures of it? Sometimes they don't like how their cage is set up when they act like this.

Once my male panther hit about 4.5 months and started getting a lot bigger with way more color I have had a hard time keeping him in now. At first if I was feeding him I had zero problem leaving the door open whIle I go to the other room for something. Then one day I do as usual and come back to find him half way across the livingroom window scaling the blinds. I freaked. Now, if I don't want him out exploring at the moment I have to be very fast and sneaky with the cage door because he will literally make a run for it. Usually he doesn't go far. Just sits on top of the cage door and watches what's going on below until i finally come up and offer him a haND which he always gladly accepts. I think he's just more comfortable with me and his surroundings now. He also is ready for his big boy forever home which I don't have just yet. I know he needs more space which is a big reason for his escapes I think. I don't know about them sensing each other though. I would assume they could even if they can't see each other but that might not be the reason for his escapes.

I can't say even my panther comes running to get out but he likes to do it if I open up or pick him up. He just likes to explore his freerange or look out of the window. I've heard its a "teenage" behavior (my cham is 1.5 so not really that young) in chams. That they like to leave their enclosure and move around.
In periods of time my cham want to be let out every day and scratches on the door and etc

Our 8 month old panther does this. We have had him for almost three months and he started coming out on my daughter and I about a week after we received him. He is hesitant to come out for my son. He does not come out for my wife or strangers. Once out he seems very trusting of all our family but not strangers.
For reference his terrarium is a very heavily planted 36" x 18" x52".

I'm not sure why my reply went into the quoted area and I'm also not sure if you can read mine on a computer but on my phone if I click on the quoted area it expands so my reply can be seen at the bottom. Surely I'm the last to figure this out. I've been wondering why some people will just repost a quote without adding anything to it lol. Now I know to click on it to see the whole message. Oops.

O, ok thank you. Normally I give two enters before I start typing to separate the two but on that post I decided to restart and must've deleted back too far. Thanks Grim!

You will need an expert with 20years experience on this, personally I think the chameleons are very emotional senstive....I have a similar situation like yours, hope you will find the answer soon....yup....yup

Thanks for the replies guys. He just seems more curious than anything. He will not come out when my wife opens the door. His cage is a 18x18x36 with plenty of vines and fake/real plants. I'm guessing he's in the 4-5 month range. I attached an updated pic of him basking from over the weekend.

He's probably telling you he needs more space and is ready for his big boy cage. I would upgrade him to his 2ftx2ftx4ft cage. He looks around 6-8 months to me.
