stressed out?

My 6 month veiled chameleon rarely turns bright green and remains darkish brown most of the time. Even while hes basking, he will still remain the same colour. At first, I thought my temp wasn't high enough so I got a new lightbulb and now his basking temps range from 80-95 F. Is this normal?

how h is the cage off the floor? to b tht colour all time seems like he is unhappy bout something mate

Could be a couple of things either theyre stressed or they could be basking. But since you raised the temps he could just be stressed?? is there anything around tat could freak out your cham??

I've had him for four months now.
I spray him constantly for 11-15 minutes three times a day
The bottom of the cage is a black garbage bag
His feces are blackish brown with white parts
He eats regularly

Lately, I've noticed that he walks on the bottom of the cage a lot. I don't know what to do? Please Help.

80-95 in the basking area?? that's too much room for error, it needs to be closer to 85 just in the basking area and cooler in the rest of the cage

It hardy ever reaches that high but the temps around the cage is still 75F other than the basking area

LAD, Add a new plant or two for security and a "Bigger" (more complex) territory and call it a day. You've checked the more obvious things so you could porbably chalk it up to being that hes growing into a moody teenage veiled and it's just not cool to be green all the time.

My veiled male cham is 6 months old and doing the exact same thing. He is staying brown and angry but I am beginning to realize it is his personality. He has been hanging out around the bottom of the cage and pawing. He has been unhappy since I met the guy. The lady I got him from said he was mean as a tiny baby and so she never handled him. I think it is just a common thing for male veileds. I am hoping he becomes more stress free one day. I have a bigger cage that will be here in the morning to give him more room to explore. I added an extra fluorescent tube just for brightness and that seemed to keep him from going down to the bottom so much. He spends his entire day trying to find a way out of his cage. It stresses me that he is so stressed but I have come to the conclusion there is nothing more I can do for him and as soon as the cooler months are over his butt is back outside where it belongs. :D
Check out my posts under Health Clinic that is titled Can Anyone Tell Me What This Is? I posted it earlier today.
I have pics of him and his poo brown color. It sucks because he is the most beautiful yellow and orange when he is settled and fired up. He is back to dookie brown and mad. I think its hormones:confused:
