Stuck shed

My male panther Cham, 5 months old has been shedding for about 2 weeks, he stopped eating before he started to shed and has been keeping his eyes closed. I took him to the vet and they said my humidity could be to low they also gave him some dewormer just Incase. I have been feeding him the powdered food they gave me for about a week because he won’t eat.... he Doesent seem to be improving that much he moves around alittle more but still keeping eyes closed a lot during the day and won’t eat on his own. Anything that could benefit my boy would be appreciated.

Shedding and eye problems could be related to vitamin deficiency and imbalance. It would be helpful to know what supplements you use and how often and what you are feeding your feeder insects. These questions are all covered in the help form above.

Male panther Cham have had him a month and a half he is 5 months old. For the past 3 weeks i have been syringe feeding, so handling everyday because I have too. Oxbow animal health powder food from vet for the past 3 weeks because he stopped eating.
Before the food strike I was gut loading with lettuce and carrots, calcium twice a week.
I have a dripper, and a fogger, I mist 4 times a day and see him drink.
Fecal matter has white urates but has a bit
more of a gelly consistency.
Humidity stays at 55 but spikes when I mist, have a heat and humidity gauge.
Cage type- 3 sides glass front side and top are screen, 1 and a half feet wide and deep 3 feet tall
Lighting is a 100w heat lamp uvb combo
Fake plants, vines and driftwood mulch on the bottom.
Placement is next to my bed, air vent 4 feet infront of cage on the ceiling also next to a window with blackout curtains.
I live in North Carolina, but moving to Boone nc today so I’m thinking the humidity will be less up there.

Gave him .1 of vitamin A 3 days in a row a week ago... scared to overdose

Have you ever given him powdered supplements dusted on his insects immediately before feeding?
You can use this schedule. Feeder insects should be lightly dusted with powdered supplement before being fed to your chameleon. Many keepers successfully use calcium (without D3 or phosphorus) at nearly every feeding, multivitamin once every 2 weeks, and calcium with D3 once every 2 weeks.
Or you can use an all in one like Repashy Calcium plus LoD that you put on every feeder at every feeding. Either schedule will give him the vitamins etc. that may be missing from his feeder insects.
My concern right now that he may have an imbalance. I would not give more Vitamin A either because it will last up to 6 months in his system. The food you are feeding likely has some as well. I will have to look that up to be sure.

If you are feeding Carnivore Care it has vitamin A.
If he was deficient it will take time for his tissues to respond and heal. The supportive care you are giving him with the help of your vet and any helpful husbandry changes are what is best for him now. Giving too much of anything will be worse as you know.

Hi There and welcome. So I am just going to go through the info you provided and give feedback in red bold. Let us know if you have any questions.

There is something else going on that we need to fix to get him eating normally again.
Before the food strike I was gut loading with lettuce and carrots, calcium twice a week. Not an adequate gut load I will post an image for this. You can buy commercial gutloads or use a variety of mostly leafy green veg from the image.
You should be giving supplements at every feeding on his insects lightly dusted. Get Repashy Calcium Plus LoD. This is an all in one supplement that can be used.

Humidity stays at 55 but spikes when I mist, have a heat and humidity gauge. What are your heat readings at basking? Humidity level is good for day time. It is at night you want it higher when the lights are off and the cage is at its coolest.

Lighting is a 100w heat lamp uvb combo. This may be part of the issue. Typically the 2 in 1 bulbs are used on very large enclosures. They produce high heat levels and high UVB levels. Essentially these can overdose them with UVB. You will need to get a T5HO long linear fixture that runs the length of the cage and a 5.0 zoo med uvb bulb. These are not the screw in types of uvb. Then get a regular incandescent light bulb for heat. The basking branch should sit approximately 7-8 inches below the screen top where the fixture is sitting.
Fake plants, vines and driftwood mulch on the bottom. Is the cage bio active with isopods for clean up? IF not then the substrate needs to be removed or it will grow mold and bacteria.
