Stupid lizard is gravid AGAIN.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this but sexy lizard spots has me cracking up. I have a date next week with a guy who has a lizard do you think sexy lizard spots will work for me. I was going to give him a cup of dubia when I got to his house, I figured that was romantic.

I'm sure your receptive colors are pretty sexy, too @Nursemaia

Hey hun @ZacharyLeesWife I know your little Bean gets out regularly, but I am wondering how often and for how long? Where does she go as well? I definitely say do the food restriction and keep her temps low, the liquid calcium will keep her calcium intake steady hopefully. Have you been able to take her outside at all? Don't remember your temps at the moment outside. So much love for your babies and you ^^ keep breathing and try not to stress, you are doing as much as possible.

She has a playground on my headboard and a free range ficus tree, but it's barely in the 70s for daytime highs so she's not allowed on the porch just yet. She's also... temperamental... So I only bring her out to wander when she's in a decent mood!

I am wondering if getting her out more wod help her shed the extra weight quicker. It's just all about how... I apologize ahead of time for any insanity in this post.i am barely conscious XD

I could definitely try to get her out more often. I was really trying not to call her an a$%hole but she tends to fluff me, hiss and gape. So I try to give her space, but I will build her a little lizard treadmill if need be.

My first female laid two infertile clutches both of over 100 eggs. I was told by the shop I got her from to feed her as much as she wants! Sadly, she died a month after that second clutch and she was only 18 months old.

My second girl naturally started to eat less when she hit 6 months. I fed her 2 or 3 items every other day. Kept her cooler than the first girl and she laid her one and only clutch of 81 at 20 months. Cooler temps and less food worked for me!

I'm only feeding her every other day, and even that meal is smaller than what she used to eat daily. I think after she loses some of her baby weight, she'll slow down but I wish she would do it sooner! Her first clutch was 55 eggs and fertile, her second was 64 and infertile. She had a drastically easier time laying the second time! But she's only just now turning 1, I'm afraid if she doesn't slow it down I'll lose her too soon.

The extra busy body stage they kind of get when out of the cage and the desire to explore can help with losing weight, and as long as you are avoiding fatty feeders most of the time, feeding less will help to. At the moment you are doing all you can and just keep your fingers crossed, I know I will.

I feed them about 8 to 12 crickets every two to three days. You can use other insects too but the amount of food would be equivalent to that number of crickets if you know what I mean.
I'm assuming those are large crickets?

And to confirm... that is what you feed an adult female throughout her life? or does it increase/decrease depending on where she is in her gestation?
