Substrate Less Method

Hi,

I would like to know if any of you have ever used the subtrate less method for chameleon eggs. I have a clutch today of 29 eggs and I set them up with this method.

I know that it works great for pythons and other lizards eggs but never heard anyone using it with chameleons.

Also what are the higher temps you have used to incubate Veiled eggs?

I'm incubating one clutch right now in a walking closet that is betwen 75-80F but I have an incubator for Ball Pythons eggs set up at 88.2-88.5 steady.

Have any of you ever tried this high temps?

Thanks!

If there is no moisture, then I'm sure the eggs will dry out and not survive.
Are snake eggs buried normally???

Good point! Ball Pythons incubates their eggs coiled around them in borrows.

But also I know that it works for lizards eggs which burry their eggs.

Anyone else have anthing to say?

naturally they dig into the ground and lay them then forget them. so this is done in mainly areas with high humidity, and rainfall so i would imagine the ground stays pretty moist.

What lizard eggs does this work for? How do you set it up?

Forgot to answer your other questions...I have never gone over 78F for veiled eggs and since they all hatched at the way I incubate them I have not changed it.
