Sudden Mouth-Rot?

Solid Snake

I am at a loss to what is going on, and am terrified its mouth rot. Can it just BAM happen overnight like this? Heres the shpill...

So today I noticed a little black speck on my 6month old ambilobe's mouth during feeding. Im 100% sure is wasnt there in the slightest yesterday. It formed in under 15 hrs. It was a slightly raised spot taking up half the scale. It looked like a little bit of dubia and I didnt think anything of it. Hes pretty messy and all when hes chowing down you know? It was shiny and not one color, ranging from a brown to black color.
Well later in the day I noticed it still there, and inspected further. It wouldnt wipe off, and had seemingly grown in size. I took a q-tip to it, and then a little tweezer action confirmed it was indeed his skin.:( Now it seems there is a spot on the other side of his jaw.:( Its just dark on the other side now, doesnt look the same really as the other side.
Anyhow, I cant find much info, and would like some experienced opinions.

I went through a ugly bout of mouth rot. It did not look like your picture. But to be sure you need to look inside your chams mouth carefully. Don't to to surprised if you get bit. Hold the mouth open with something like a spatula, that is what I used. If his guys look brown and dirty you most likely have a problem.
At that point take a damp q-tip and gently scrub between his teeth and jaw. If he has mouth rot your q-tip will come out brown, or may even have some blood on it. If you have someone who will take a real close, close up, I will try to look and see. I am NOT a vet and what I am telling you is what I have to do.

If your boy has mouth rot you are headed to the vet - soon.

Thanks Laurie. I will check it with a q-tip in the morning. Here is a video I took of him eating this morning. I was just taking random videos, but it shows into his mouth a bit.

food

what do you feed? this may help.. I think it looks like food too maybe caught in between lip and teeth Ty

I guess its possible a piece of feeder got stuck, and dried overnight, and attached itself VERY securely. I have cancled this out though.
Just want to reiterate, its his SCALE/FLESH.
I tried prying it off with tweezers, to no avail. Im hoping Im somehow wrong.
But honestly, I know Im not.

try this.

put him in a shower chamber for 15 minutes or so. then try and get it out.

i can put money on that is a piece of insect. ;)

I hope you are right. Hes asleep. I think I will put some ointment on it, and let it sit overnight. That should loosen it if it is.
Its just that it has grown in size since I first noticed it, and there is another "dark" spot in almost the same place on the other side.:(
I DO appreciate the input though. Opinions are what Im looking for here. Thanks;)

The video does show into his mouth and it looks perfect. i saw no problem with his gums. Good job on that video.

I am dying to find out what it is. It does look like a scale from a feeder stuck on the tooth/gumline.

Your duing to find out?
Its driving me crazy! The more I look at it, the more it looks kile bug meat!
But it WONT COME OFF!!!
Im very tempted to try again with the tweezers while hes asleep, since the ointment has sat on it awhile.
Yeah, Im going to go see what I can do, brb...

Looks a lot like superworm to me. You said dubia in one of your posts, so I'm assuming he hasn't had superworms anytime recently?

I think it looks more like the remnants of a Three Musketeers or perhaps a Snickers bar. Could he have gotten into your chocolate stash?
