Hey guys I;m new to the forums any responses will be appreciated!
I'm about to start buying new plants for my chameleon enclosure but I'm not sure what to get. I have seen the long list of safe plants but do not have the time to research every plant... So I have come here for help.
I have a 24 x 24 x 36 custom built cage.
I have a Money Tree (Safe)
I have a Dragon Tree (Safe)
I have a Ivy Heidra (Safe)
I have a Parlor Palm (Safe)
My Problem:
Now having all these plants is great and all but there is alot and I mean ALOT of open space towards the top of the cage. I want to fill that space with plants but I cant hang anything inside of the cage. So I was hoping you guys could tell me about a few safe plants that are tall enough to reach high up and have alot of bushy leaves. I wanted to use a Ficus Benjamina (spelling is probably off but you get what Im trying to say) but they have a sap that hurts chameleons eyes.
I need help with this:
I need a safe tall plant with lots of leaves up towards the top of the plant to fill the empty space in my cage, much like the ficus benjamina. Does any one know of a plant I can use?
NOTES:
I would do the research myself but I am very busy so please help!
(I want plants like the picture below that are safe to chameleons)
Please DO NOT respond with a link to a safe plant LIST ex: http://www.cleanlinechameleons.com/safe-plant-list/
