Suitable for Adult Panther?

I'm just browsing cages because I will need to update my 4 month old panthers cage soon. I like bird cages because you get a lot more room then you do with screen cages and they are way less expensive. Would this be suitable?

Assuming the bars don't rust, you can keep the humidity up, you always intend to cup or hand feed, and are ok with the occasional bug escaping the cage (because I promise some will escape the cup, your chameleon's mouth, AND your hand!), then I don't see why not. Assuming those things aren't a problem then that seems like a good deal for such a large cage!

I'd be way too afraid my cham would shoot thru the bars on on it's way back into his mouth break his tongue or injure it if it wrapped around a bar........

But it's an great size. If you could somehow frame it out from the inside with mesh, it might work, but that would significantly add to the cost. May as well look into a pre-made cage at that point.

yeah. i have my veiled in a bird cage haven't had any issues because she's a lot more chill than my panther he's still young and loves to run around hunting his crickets. i'd hate to take that away from him so i'm just going to end up getting the largest reptibreeze i can find or just make one myself. Thank you guys for helping me

100% agree with Jan.
But some animals will starve themselves literally to death before they eat out of a cup or container. So make sure he will cup feed.
Super awesome cage. And wow the price seems so low!!

@serenaj25 permountain.com has a good sale going on right now. The prices on reptibreeze and reptibreeze LED cages are so low that I'm considering buying one just cause.

I you are worried about the chameleon or bugs escaping, you can buy a roll of screen for 15 bucks and use it to cover the cage. It will keep everything in, and still give you the open-air enclosure you need

I currently use a 2x2x4 zoo-med how ever I plan to get a cage very much like the one you are asking about there so much stronger and have 360° anchor points and would be hella easy to make a drainage system literally all u would need is a piece of hose and a bucket lol and as far as bug proofing get a roll of screen and sum zip ties (y)
