sully and his new home :-)

hi im using for uv an arcadia canopy with a t5 d3+ 12% tube.
its best to use a 6% if you are attaching the uv inside but if you want it outside like mine a 12% is better as some of the uv will get blocked by the mesh.

i feel arcadia are the best but thats my opinion.the bulbs last 12 months aswell most others only last 6 months.

go to this website.http://www.reptiles.swelluk.com/.

i got all my everything from them.there cheaper than most places also.:)
personally a wooden viv is better for people who are from the uk.

absolutely couldnt be without a dimmerstat.i have a habistat dimming stat.
it stops the risk of burning your chameleon.
i have mine set at 29c and the temp never goes above 32c.there the min & max.:)

Great pictures and videos! His home looks very nice. I had to watch the other videos too! Hah! He's such a pretty boy! Thanks for sharing! :D

thanks LLGabriel :)
i was worried how he would take to moving but he is not fazed at all and seems to love the extra space.
to make the move more comfortable for him i made sure his basking area was in the same area and a few other of his fave branches to sit on were in the same area too.

It looks great i an also getting the same viv but slightly narrower did it come with the rock wall or did you add it in yourself also did you take the wood top off and put the mesh on or does that size come with a full mesh top
Thanks mike

the narrower one you are talking about i used to have for sully before i upgraded to his bigger one.

heres sullys OLD home.its the viva vivexotic small.i now have the medium.if i had more room i would have got him the large.
please ignore the bottom of the stand.i added extra wood to make it higher.
is this the vivarium you are getting?

Yeah that's the site iv been looking on
I live in Epsom Surrey so i would agree wood is best
I would love to get the size you just got but just don't have the room the wife already moans about the rest of my reptiles dotted around the house
I also would not go without a habistat dimming stat i use them for all my reptiles
I'm not going to use a mister i might use a drip system and just hand spray what do you do

i just use a hand mister.im home alot so never have to worry.well definitely lately with the crap weather were having.i dont use a dripper as he drinks twice a day when i mist which is 3 times a day.he always looks hydrated and his urates are always white.

also i would highly suggest getting some live plants as they will help hold the humidity.a few great places to get them are dobbies, homebase & b&q but b&q are a little pricey.check out the local garden centres.

your doing the best and great thing by finding out exactly what you need now.you dont want to lose money buying stuff you dont need.:)
