The sun is definitely good for their bones because of the d3. My chameleon is in the sun just about everyday due to the fact I live in Florida. I think their colors show better when out in the sun but I don't think it permanently changes their coloring for the better if that is what you mean.
UVB rays will improve a chameleon's color, health and temperament. It does not affect bone growth per se but D3 from sun rays will enable your chameleon to synthesize calcium and assist with proper bone development. Nothing can replace natural sunlight.
Yeh mine is in an enclosure in side but when it's nice and sunny ill get him out into the sun was just wondering that if I did that it might look like jans louie hahaha, thanks for the replies, I mostly do it cause of the healthy bones
