Sunken/Closed Eye HELP

Hey everyone, my male panther is about 3 years old. Recently I noticed him keeping one of his eyes closed a lot and that it appears smaller than the other eye. What is going on and how can I correct the situation? I've read that it may be a vitamin A deficiency. Any info is appreciated!

Could be an eye infection...(any discharge?)...could be the lights bothering it...(change the lights lately?)....could be a nutrient imbalance...(what supplements are you using and how often for each, what do you feed/gutload with?)...could be something stuck in the eye....hard to say without more information....sorry.

No discharge, nothing visible in the eye. The past week I have been putting beta carotene on his food (on top of his regular calcium powder and occasional Herptivite) in case a vitamin A defienciy is the problem. He has an Arcadia T5 22" HO Fixture with a Arcadia D3 6% HO bulb. It had been about a year since I've changed it. I have a spare one that is unopened. Arcadia says to change every two years.
