Sunken eyes? Please answer asap!!

Welcome to the forums! I highly recommend a vet visit to see what’s causing the eyes to be sunken. It could be an illness or dehydration. If you don’t have a a good chameleon vet, if you share with me where you live, I might be able to recommend a good vet.

Is it for sure sunken? I live in Tawas City Michigan

They look sunk in there. Could be dehydration. Could be illness. Could be lack of food intake.

I would pull all of the fake ivy vines out. They are a major impaction risk for a veiled. You can hang them on the outside of the cage but you do not want any fake plants inside where he can eat them.

He has never bitten at those vines, they’ve been in since day one. He knows to eat his live plants which he has plenty of. I can’t think of him being dehydrated since I see him drink/ sit underneath his dropper a lot.
 
Is this how the eyes normally look or is he sucking them in because your holding him? They will pull in their eyes out of stress as well.
I noticed in pictures and it looks like that how’s his eyes normally look. I did some research and maybe he’s going into shed? It may also be that I was holding him, recently he hasn’t liked that
