Superworms for Charlotte!

She just had her first superworm, it took her a couple bites to get it down, but she caught and ate it nonetheless. Are superworms too large a prey item for a 6-7inch veiled chameleon? Due to their large size, I feed 3 super worms a day, which will soon switch to 4 every other day. Is this too little or too much? Also will be fed with crickets and silkworms offered when I have them. I'm working on getting a Dubia colony set up, but that's not for a couple months. Any good alternatives to crickets that are readily available, and I don't have to order online?

I get my crickets at my local pet store - by the box of either 1000 or 500 and save on shipping - they come in with their regular order - they didn't tell me they would do it until I told them I ordered on line -
Sometimes I can get small or medium suppers locally and I've seen butter worms - and calci-worms - I usually order on-line so I'm not much help
for little guys & gals I like blue bottle flies.
I didn't go to every other day until mine were nearing a year - but with a female veiled - (which is what I think you have) I wouldn't want to make any suggestions - some use lower temps and less food to regulate egg production- I don't know enough about how that works - as it's also important to keep a growing chameleon healthy - this blog by jannb is great for info & links

Thanks so much! I'm going to try to start on calci-worms or silkworms because the super worms are a tad too large, and I'm not sworn on their nutritional value.
