Superworms.....

So the guy at the petstore told me that superworms are known to eat through things. He said that they could eat through a chameleon's stomach if they are still alive. Is this true? if so, do I need to cut the heads off before I feed them to my panther's?

Any input will be great.

Thanks :)

Not true at all, Most chameleon chew their food hard. You can hear the worm crunch or pop out guts. It's just a myth I first heard about it with leopard geckos. Even if they did survive the bite they would drown in the stomach.

The guy at the reptile store told me that same thing! I ran a thread awhile back about this and got alot of responses and the answer is no!!!

Definitely a no. Even if the cham didn't chew it and just swallowed it alive, it would die quickly in the chams stomach acid. Some people do smash the heads before feeding them off because supers can bite. I really don't think it's necessary.
