Hi there, here's another question- Does anyone have a schedule for dusting foods for pygmys?( brevi)
I now have my 2 pairs that were separated that are actually 1.3 in the full 3ft long viv and i think they are looking good- saw two eat some silkworms and they seem to be taking ff's well, No luck on the calci worms yet and none of my curled wing flies have emerged yet. Have some hatchling locusts so I'm gutloading with turnip and alfalfa.
Anyone know of any favs their pygs like as I'm keen to get them eating like pygs! Would a small waxworm once a week be o.k? I was wondered it would choke, but someone said they can eat quite large things but it's larger that the 2food the size of between the eyes" rule so i guess not.
Anyway here is the viv- they are all on the left at the top.

Sorry but I do t know anything about Pygs but I do want to tell you how great your chams look and how pretty your Viv is!!

Hey Tabitha! The viv looks outstanding...as do all of your vivs.

I remember reading an article by John Courtney Smith in regards to pygmy care. If I remember right, he recommended a full spectrum supplement like Vetark. Are you familiar with this product? When I kept them, I supplemented very lightly once every other day, focusing more on proper gut loads. However, with gravid females, calcium is a must of course. Calcium deficiencies in this species can cause heart attack as well as your normal calcium deficient ailments.

They look fantastic.

Hi there, jaxy girl- thank you very much for your comments, I have to say I do love making up vivs with lots of plants and natural decor, it's been really nice doing their viv, as it was quite a good size so gave more scope for planting , etc.
Joel, hi there, I have that article here so will check it out, I've only witnessed two feeding so far, but it's early days, I can add a few gut loaded hatchling locusts today, ive got some nice turnip leaves. As you say, with one of the females hopefully being gravity, getting some calcium to her is my top priority, I think I have vetark but certainly have the usuals so fingers crossed I can see everyone eating today, they've had a hectic week+ , a lot of transporting and being held at suppliers. Then the shop and now here so I'm not surprised .
Super pictures of Cato by the way, he's looking splendid.
