Supplementing question!!

I have so many questions I feel annoying... I"M SORRY!!

We've had Leif for 3 weeks and have been dusting with calcium w/o d3 every day. He's about 4 months old veiled. he's already gotten so much bigger since we've had him.

I know i need to do other supplements... and we have them... I just don't know how to do it and what proportions and such. I tried to follow this thread but it's like reading Chinese!! https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/supplementation-mbd-1.2451/

if someone could dumb it down for me, i'd be greatly appreciative.

TIA!!

Use your calcium without D3 or phosphorus 6 days a week. On the 7th day give Cal with D3 repeat every other week. On the 14th day give a multivitamin repeat every other week. Dust lightly don't turn your feeders into ghosts.

You beautiful human. You've been a lifesaver for me as of late. Thank you! :)

Just remember that if your multivitamin has d3 you will not need to use calcium with d3, you will just need to use the multivitamin 2 times a month.

Ok just checking because the thread you linked was about MBD. Take a stool sample for a parasite check when you do go.

I was confused about this too when I started. I'm not a supplement guru, but I know the basics and what has worked for me so far. Someone with more knowledge might be able to come in here with a better answer for you. So you do your vitamins 2x a month and d3 2x a month on alternating weeks..
I usually use superworms(about 2-3) only on d3/vitamin day because I know they'll eat them with no fuss. If you have crickets or whatever else just dust like you'd do regular calcium dusting. With proper gutloading, uvb, feeder variety, sunlight if possible, etc you should be fine. The d3 and vitamins are necessary, but aren't something to freak out over as long as you do them consistently and with good husbandry. They are like a safety net in a way, but that doesn't mean don't use them.

OHHH!! On alternating weeks! That's what I wasn't sure! OK! I might combine the info i've gotten today! Thank you :)

Yup so for example let's say you wanna do it on Saturday, you have four Saturdays a month so it's look like this

First saturday: d3
Second Saturday: vitamins
Third Saturday: d3
Fourth saturday: vitamins

Hope that helps

Perfect! I need to be spoon fed this shit! lol

So when do I stop dusting everyday?

Hah I was/am the same way no worries! People here are happy to help.

You will always dust with every feeding with the exception of feedinv BSFL because they have a higher calcium to phosphorus ratio (I think a few other worms do too but I'd have to check). I dont dust worms as much or at all though(most people don't because they aren't fed as much as roaches and crickets). It really depends what bug you are feeding. The point of dusting is to give a positive calcium to phosphorus ratio.
