Supplies and questions

Hey everyone,
In three weeks I will be purchasing a panther chameleon and I already have a zoomed skyscraper 18x18x36 from my beautiful gecko who lived with me for most of my life (RIP Cassie) and I have been educating myself on chameleon care and husbandry but I have yet to buy any other supplies asides from what I already have, including a eco Terra monsoon solo. If anyone out there has any supplies list with links out there, please share it, as I want the best for my new best friend. And even if there is no link please share your ideas for better husbandry. I live in Ontario and it's pretty dry and cold in the winters so I was told that the glass Wouldn't be bad. Another tip I reviewed was to leave the door open in the summer and cut a mesh fabric 18x36 and suction cup the corners into the edges of the cage as if to make a screen front. What do you guys think of this idea? Would this help? Sorry for the question overload. I have never had a chameleon and I have a lot of questions.

Tons of LIVE plants, please no/minimal fake lol. Branches, uvb light, basking, hydrometer, thermometer, and skip the monsoon get mistking.

You'll also want a large variety of feeders gutload, supplements, feeder bins, etc

I purchased a pothos and a hibiscus tree, I am not a fan of fake plants; they're not my thing. I love giving my pet the best habitat ❤️

I just got a hibiscus as well they're pretty nice. They do need a TON of light though. I have my Arcadia plant bulbs and jungle dawn spotlight on them and next to the window... still not sure if that'll be enough lol.

What about ficus? Do they require a lot of light?

Not really anything special, but they do drop leaves a lot if they aren't in optimal conditions. The sap from ficus can also be an irritant to Chams, but isn't likely. I use them for my outdoor free range.

I'm with james0o0. You will need to mist regularly for the proper health of your cham. Chams will usually drink off the mist on the leaves. Fake plants do not hold moisture or humidity well.

Glass should work well in your environment.
Here's more original setup when I got my panther baby, Sherman:

My climate did cause me issues and I have to remove some of the plants to be able to mist 4 times a day. :( Just be prepared to make changes. Starting off with decent foundation is key. Your doing that now by asking questions. (y)
