I was lucky enough to grow up with a mom who's as crazy for animals as I am. She indulged MOST of my outlandish pet ideas when I was a kid so in my world, living with chameleons is pretty normal

I'm in the process of trying to buy a house right now and one of my requirements will be that I've a good place for a "bug room" I also need to have a living room wall I can knock out and install an in-wall fish tank!!

Trust me, you may think you're "going weird" but you've got plenty of friends out here who are at least as "weird" as you are!

Yup, we've got it all! Beaches, mountains, hot summers and cold winters! I've traveled all over but I always end up back here at home.

My mom used to have a heart attack when I brought home critters....especially the alligator I brought home and put in her tub one day. (I live in Ontario, Canada so I'm sure she never expected that one! She did like dogs though!

Currently in MO/KS (I literally live on the state line.... I'm in MO, neighbors across the street are KS) but the boyfriend is from NC and we are talking about moving back in a few years. I can't even fathom living within hours of the beach AND mountains... and it's so normal to him! HA! I look at real estate when I'm bored at work!!

@kinyonga where did you find an alligator in Canada?! I thought I was bad enough sneaking a king snake into my parents house, but you win that round!

@eahoormann Don't look too seriously at real estate in NC right now. It's a sellers market, for SURE!

In the ditch near my house. It was fall somit wasn't moving quickly when I picked it up by the tail and carried it home but when the humane society came to get it the guy had a hard time getting it out of the tub!
