i have a veiled chameleon after she has feed she swirls around sometimes on her back or on her back legs and sometimes has her mouth open for a few moments,im new to this site and the forum thing id be greatfull for any information cheers

she stands on her back legs and moves her top partof her body round for a few seconds and also opens here moth as to move her food down

what are you feeding her? how big is the feeder, how big is cham? how big is feeder in reference to chams head? how many does she eat? how are you supplying water, and when are you feeding, and when are you supplying water?

how are you supplying water to your feeder?

do you see the cham drink? how long have you had it? how old is she?

whats the poop look like, lots of yellow?

take pics man, it will make all the difference

she is only seven weeks old and is eating small crickets (although some medium sized get in) Her water is by dripper onto leaves which she takes. I have fed her both in the vivarium (2x3x2 feet) and by putting her into smaller container with food. She eats roughly 4-8 crickets a day. Her poop is black with white. No yellow. She is active and keeps a good bright green colour on leaves changing to stripy on the bark.

Welcome to the forum. What bark is she stripy on?
haha, good one.

and by small crickets, what size in inches? cuz 4-8 crickets seems like too few if your feeding the chamy the right size. remember the cricket can be no longer than the length of the cham's head, also can be no wider than the width between the chamy's eyes. general rule of thumb, worms are the only length rule breaker. at seven weeks they should be eatin 8-12 small(1/8") crickets or more; IMO. they can really eat until they get about 6 mo.

thanks for info ,i try her with more, but she seems to lose interest. they are no larger than the length of her head. Local reptile man said she may eat more if removed from large tank to feed and I am trying this to encourage more feeding. Early days though so I will let you know
